The Sømmet ("the Nail") is a Scandinavian cult lure among hardcore sea trout anglers. At 12 cm and 28 g, this inline (run-through) lure punches long casts into the wind and lands the big fish hunting the shallows.

Once the Sømmet enters the water, it delivers a convincing sand eel imitation — the single most important prey item for big sea trout patrolling shallow coastal flats. Inline Design Means Fewer Lost Fish

The run-through line concept keeps the fish pinned more securely during the fight. Thread your line through the lure, add a small bead to protect the knot, then tie directly to a single or treble hook. For a free-swinging hook, mount it on the included oval split ring and tie your knot to the double-strand side of the ring. The package includes three beads and an oval split ring to get you rigged straight away.
