The Sømmet ("the Nail") is a Scandinavian inline (run-through) casting lure with a loyal following among serious sea trout anglers. The 22g / 11cm version in Motoroil UV delivers the casting distance and sand eel action needed to cover shallow coastal flats effectively.

Sand Eel Imitation That Triggers Big Sea Trout

Despite its nail-like silhouette, the Sømmet moves through the water as a convincing sand eel imitation — the primary forage fish for large sea trout hunting in shallow water. The hand-painted Motoroil UV finish adds UV-reactive contrast that can make a real difference in low-light conditions or off-coloured water.

Inline Concept — Fewer Lost Fish

The run-through line design means the line passes directly through the body of the lure, reducing leverage during the fight and resulting in fewer hook pulls compared to lures with fixed attachment points. Thread your line through, slide on one of the included beads to protect your knot, then tie directly to a single hook or treble hook of your choice. For a free-swinging hook, mount it on the included oval split ring and tie your knot to the double-stranded section of the ring. The lure is made from zinc and is lead-free.
