Sand Eel Imitation Where It Counts

Out of the water, the Sømmet looks like a metal nail. Once it starts moving through a shallow bay or surf zone, it transforms into a convincing sand eel imitation — the single most important prey item for large sea trout feeding in the shallows. The Smoked Chrome finish catches and scatters light in a way that closely mimics the flanks of a fleeing sand eel, making it effective in clear to lightly coloured water and on bright or overcast days alike.

Inline Design for Fewer Lost Fish

The run-through inline concept means the line passes straight through the body of the lure before connecting to the hook. This direct connection dramatically reduces leverage during the fight, so fish stay pinned more reliably than with standard lures. Rig it with a single hook or treble hook in size #5, #4, or #3 depending on your preference. For a free-swinging hook — which many experienced sea trout anglers favour — mount the hook on the included oval split ring and tie your line to the double-stranded section of the ring. A small bead (included) between the lure and the knot protects the line under pressure.
