The name says it all: Sømmet (Danish for "the Nail") was built to pin big sea trout. At 10 cm and 16 g, this inline lure (in-line / run-through rigging) casts a country mile and swims with a convincing sand eel action that coastal predators simply cannot ignore.
Large sea trout hunting the shallows key in on sand eels as their primary prey, and the Sømmet's slender, hand-painted zinc body replicates that silhouette with precision. Pulled steadily through the water column, it produces a lifelike swimming action that has made it a long-standing favourite among hardcore sea trout anglers across Scandinavia. The Motoroil UV colour adds a UV-reactive shimmer that gives the lure extra visibility in low light, overcast skies, or coloured water.
Because the line runs directly through the body, there is no lever for the fish to use against the hook — the inline concept dramatically reduces throw-offs during the fight. Thread your line through the lure, slip on one of the included beads to protect your knot, then tie directly to a single hook or treble hook of your choice. For a free-swinging hook, attach it to the included oval split ring and tie your knot to the double-strand section of the ring for maximum security.
