The Gotlandspilen is a versatile saltwater jig designed to punch beyond the breakers and work back slowly through the shallowest feeding zones. The Motoroil finish adds a subtle, natural dark-olive shimmer that works especially well in clear or slightly coloured coastal water.
The aerodynamic profile of the Gotlandspilen delivers exceptional casting distance, letting you reach holding water that other lures simply can't. Once it lands, you can retrieve it at a very slow, deliberate pace — keeping the lure in the strike zone through shallow flats and rocky margins without hanging up.
In the water the Gotlandspilen kicks and flashes with large, irregular movements that convincingly mimic a wounded baitfish. This unpredictable, erratic action draws attention from sea trout, garfish, and other coastal predators, provoking reaction bites even from fish that have ignored more predictable lures. Each lure is hand-painted for lifelike detail that holds up to repeated use.
The Gotlandspilen is available in two sizes and a wide range of colours. Each is rigged with either a Rigged Trout treblehook (#6–#8) or a Rigged Seatrout singlehook (#2–1/0) on a fluorocarbon leader (ø 0.4 mm).
