The Gotlandspilen (Swedish for "the Gotland arrow") is a purpose-built saltwater casting lure designed to cover ground with long, accurate casts and work effectively at a slow, controlled retrieve through shallow coastal areas. In Stickleback colour, its hand-painted detailing closely mimics one of the sea trout's favourite forage fish.
The Gotlandspilen's aerodynamic profile cuts through the wind and delivers extra-long casts, letting you cover more water from shore, wading, or a kayak. The 8.7 cm, 18 g format is a versatile choice for light to medium coastal spinning gear.
At any retrieve speed, the lure produces wide, unpredictable side-to-side flashes that replicate a fleeing or wounded baitfish. This erratic action is especially effective when worked slowly over sand flats, rocky shelves, and other shallow saltwater zones where sea trout and coastal predators hunt.
