Balzer Shooter Spoon - Forellenspoon
The Balzer Shooter Spoon is a propeller-style trout spoon designed to spin on the lightest pull — producing a unique colour-flicker that consistently draws trout to the bite, even in cold, slow conditions.
Thanks to its distinctive propeller shape, the Shooter Spoon begins rotating the moment it enters the current or is given the gentlest retrieve. This constant self-rotation generates flash and vibration that trout find hard to ignore — including fish that are sitting completely inactive on the bottom. It is particularly effective for slow, ultra-deliberate presentations that other spoons simply cannot maintain.
The Shooter Spoon is weighted to allow long, accurate casts — a real advantage when covering water or reaching shy fish in clearer conditions. Every spoon comes fitted with a micro triple swivel that reliably prevents line twist during the rotating action, so your mainline and leader stay in good shape session after session.
The Balzer Shooter Spoon is available in a wide range of colour combinations. Each spoon features contrasting colours on the top and bottom face, creating a distinct colour-play as it rotates. Two hook configurations are found across the range:
Triple hook with micro swivel — ideal for most trout setups; the built-in swivel adds an extra layer of line-twist protection, well suited to faster currents or longer sessions
Triple hook (treble) — a clean, standard treble configuration for anglers who prefer a traditional hook-to-spoon connection
All variants are designed for trout fishing with a rotating, propeller-style swimming action.
