Balzer Shooter Spoon - Forellenspoon
The Balzer Shooter Spoon is a propeller-style trout spoon built for slow retrieves and reluctant fish. Its spinning action and contrasting colour scheme make it one of the most versatile trout lures in the range.
Thanks to its propeller shape, the Shooter Spoon rotates around its own axis with the slightest pull — even at an ultra-slow retrieve pace. This makes it particularly effective when trout are sluggish: in cold winter water or during high-pressure periods, the continuous spin keeps the lure alive without the angler needing to speed up.
Every Shooter Spoon is fitted with a micro triple swivel (Micro-Dreifachwirbel) between the body and the hook. This reliably prevents line twist during the constant rotation, so your mainline stays tangle-free retrieve after retrieve. The long casting distance also helps cover water efficiently from the bank or a boat.
The Shooter Spoon is available in numerous colour combinations. Each spoon features contrasting colours on the top and underside, which create a unique flickering colour play as the lure rotates. When choosing your variant, consider the following:
Variants with a micro swivel-equipped treble hook: ideal for general trout spinning on still waters and put-and-take fisheries
Variants with a standard treble hook: a solid all-round choice for rivers and streams where gear loss is a consideration
Bright or high-contrast colours: best for stained or coloured water and overcast conditions
Natural or subdued colours: well suited to clear water and pressured fish
