Advanced High PIC Construction for Strength Beyond Its Diameter

Westin built the W6 around an 8-carrier braid with a 36 PIC (weaves per inch) Advanced High PIC weave — significantly tighter than standard braids at this diameter. The result is a remarkably round, smooth profile that punches well above its weight in knot strength and abrasion resistance. At 0.10 mm and 3.8 kg breaking strain, this line handles light lure presentations with the sensitivity and backbone that finesse fishing demands.

Dura-Coating for Long Casts and Colour That Lasts

A proprietary Dura-Coating gel process bonds a hydrophobic, low-friction surface to every metre of line. Water absorption is kept to a minimum, and the smooth finish lets the braid glide through rod guides cleanly — translating directly into longer, more accurate casts with even the lightest lures. Colour stability is locked in by soaking the line in dye tanks before oven curing and sealing with a final Dura-Coat layer, so the Lime Punch finish stays vivid well into the season.
