The Westin W6 8 Braid (UHMPE – Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene) is an 8-carrier braided mainline engineered from the ground up for lure fishing, combining a slim 0.128mm diameter with a 5.5kg breaking strain and smooth, long-distance casting performance.

Advanced High PIC Construction for Strength and Smoothness

Westin builds the W6 using a proprietary "Advanced High PIC" (weaves per inch) weave pattern with 36 weaves per inch. This tight, round-profile construction delivers above-average strength for its diameter, excellent knot strength, and a consistently smooth surface that reduces line-guide friction for longer, more accurate casts – even with lightweight lures.

Dura-Coating for Lasting Performance

A Dura-Coating gel process seals the braid with a hydrophobic surface layer that actively repels water, reduces friction, and limits absorption. Colour stability is built in through a dye-tank soaking stage followed by oven curing to lock in the Lime Punch pigment, then sealed under a final dura-coat for durability across repeated sessions in both saltwater and freshwater.

The W6 8 Braid Lime Punch is available in two spool lengths – 135m (150yds) and 1500m (1640yds) – and across a wide diameter range. The 1500m bulk spools are ideal for respooling multiple reels or heavily used setups at lower cost per metre.
