PLATYPUS CRANKBAIT 19CM 94G SINKING BLANK
incl. VAT, excl.
Designed by Scandinavian lure builder Allan Christiansen, the Westin Platypus Crankbait (19cm, 94g, Sinking) is built to target large, wary pike at depths down to 6 metres — in colours, sizes and buoyancy profiles refined across 32 prototypes.
At 94g the Platypus sinks purposefully on a slack line, then dives to working depth on the retrieve. Pause the lure mid-water and it hangs momentarily before beginning a slow, seductive rise — a pause-and-float trigger that is particularly effective on pressured or cold-water pike that refuse a continuously moving bait.
A full wire-through-body system distributes the load of a hard-running pike across the entire lure rather than a single hook hanger, dramatically reducing the risk of failure at the critical moment. Japanese-style carbon steel treble hooks complement the build, while the Ultra Sonic (ultrasonic) rattle ball sends low-frequency vibrations through the water column to draw fish from a distance — at both crawling and high-speed retrieves.
The Platypus range covers three body sizes and two buoyancy styles to match depth, presentation and target species.
