The 16 cm / 56 g version runs 1–3 m deep and delivers a swimming action that holds up from a crawling spring retrieve all the way to a fast burn.

Slow-Rise Buoyancy That Triggers Reluctant Pike

On a pause, the Platypus hangs momentarily in the water column and then slowly rises — a natural, reactive movement that pressured or cold-water pike find hard to ignore. This precise buoyancy was the core engineering challenge, and it took more than 30 prototype iterations to perfect. It makes the lure equally effective when you need to work a spot slowly in early spring or tease a following fish into committing.

Built to Handle Heavy Pike Country

The full wire-through-body construction means the entire rigging load runs from nose to tail — no body failure on a hard-running fish. Japanese-style carbon steel treble hooks are ultra-sharp straight from the packet. The ABS plastic body houses an Ultra Sonic rattle ball that produces a tight, high-frequency sound signal to attract pike in coloured or low-light water. Lead-free construction throughout.
