Designed by Scandinavian lure maker Allan Christiansen after 32 prototypes and countless hours on the water, the Platypus 16 cm is a purpose-built big-pike crankbait (wobbler) that works at every retrieve speed — from a near-dead crawl in cold spring water to a fast, aggressive burn.

Slow-Rise Action That Triggers Reluctant Pike

At 56 g and 16 cm, this low-floating crankbait hangs almost weightless in the water column during a pause. Instead of diving or floating straight up, it slowly rises — a subtle, lifelike movement that is extremely difficult for large, pressured pike to ignore. That controlled buoyancy is the result of painstaking prototype work and is the defining feature of the Platypus design.

Built to Handle the Biggest Fish

The full wire-through-body construction means the load from a heavy strike or a hard-running fish is transferred directly along the wire, not through the lure body. Combined with ultra-sharp Japanese-style carbon steel treble hooks, this gives you the structural integrity needed when targeting trophy pike. An Ultra Sonic rattle ball adds vibration and sound that help pike locate the lure in low-visibility or stained water. The body is moulded from durable ABS plastic.
