At the heart of the Platypus concept is a carefully tuned low-floating behaviour. Pause the retrieve and the lure hangs momentarily, then drifts slowly upward — a pause-and-rise movement that pressured or cold-water pike find hard to resist, even at the most demanding times of year.

Built to Handle Big Fish

The full wire-through-body construction means the entire load of a heavy pike transfers directly to the line, not to the hook hangers. Japanese-style carbon steel trebles back up that strength at the business end. The Ultra Sonic rattle ball adds low-frequency vibration that draws predators from a distance, while the 56 g weight carries well on medium-heavy to heavy casting or trolling gear.
