The lead collar on the hook shank is designed specifically for softbaits with a rounder, belly-heavy profile and a firmer rubber compound. The collar bites into the bait and holds it securely so it stays straight cast after cast. At hook size 1/0, this head is well suited for softbaits from around 5 cm upward, where the collar can grip without covering the full shank.
