VMC 7243 Redentex Back+ Hook - Einzelhaken
incl. VAT, excl.
The mirrored rear-position single hook engineered for slow-trolling with livebait in the sea, combining a Locking Curve shape with long-lasting Coastal PTFE protection for reliable hookups on powerful fish.
The Locking Curve geometry is designed to maximise hook-up rates when a predator engages the rear of the bait. The angled profile rotates predictably under pressure, driving the Needle Sharp point home even on light or hesitant takes — critical when targeting large, wary species like amberjack or big snapper.
Forged from high-strength vanadium steel, the reinforced (+) construction handles the sustained runs and head-shakes of powerful saltwater predators without straightening. The Coastal PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) coating delivers excellent corrosion resistance in salt environments while keeping the Needle Sharp point keener for longer. A resin closed eye locks the hook securely to the bait's flank, and a red dot adds a subtle visual trigger.
All VMC 7243 Redentex Back+ Hook variants share the same Locking Curve geometry, Coastal PTFE coating, and Needle Sharp point in vanadium steel. Choose by target species and bait size:
3/0 — 6 pieces — smaller livebait, medium predators such as snapper; good entry size for coastal slow-trolling
4/0 — 5 pieces — versatile mid-range size for medium to large baitfish and a wide range of saltwater species
5/0 — 4 pieces — larger livebait presentations; suitable for amberjack and big snapper
6/0 — 3 pieces — heavy-duty applications with large baits; strong, fast predators
7/0 — 3 pieces — biggest baitfish rigs; trophy-class targets in open water
