The W10 13 Braid Coastal is Westin's dedicated saltwater braided line, engineered from the ground up for sea trout and coastal fishing where conditions rarely play fair.

13X (12+1) UHMPE Construction for Exceptional Strength

Built from premium Japanese Ultra High Molecular Polyethylene (UHMPE) fibers, 12 carriers are woven tightly around a central CORE carrier in a 13X configuration. This produces a uniformly round, dense line with noticeably higher breaking strength than standard 8X braids — ideal when you need reliability on hard-running fish in rough surf or tidal currents.

Double Dura-Coating: Fewer Wind Knots, Longer Casts

Coastal fishing means casting into fierce onshore winds, repeatedly. The W10 Coastal's Double Dura-Coating adds stiffness that actively resists wind knot formation. The gel coating process also creates a hydrophobic, super-smooth surface that sheds water, reduces ring friction, and carries the line further and more accurately. Colour pigment is baked in before a final double gel-coat seal ensures lasting colour stability even after extended saltwater exposure.
