Built on decades of Norwegian saltwater expertise, this three-hook sea rig is engineered specifically for cod, coalfish, and pollack when jigging over deep marks.
The 150 cm rig features a 0.90 mm line diameter that balances abrasion resistance with natural presentation. Three hooks are spaced along the trace to maximise attraction and hooking efficiency during pirk (jig) sessions — exactly what demanding conditions at high latitudes require.
Balzer's Norway team developed this system from real on-the-water experience rather than off-the-shelf solutions. The result is a trace that fishes effectively in strong tidal flows, at depth, and under the variable light conditions typical of northern saltwater marks.
