The Balzer Micro Heringssystem is a ready-made herring rig for sea fishing from shore or boat. Its five-hook setup with fish skin and beads creates a compact baitfish imitation that works well when jigging for herring in the Baltic Sea and similar coastal waters.
This rig is designed as a herring paternoster for anglers who want a proven, ready-to-use setup. It suits fishing from piers, harbours, and boats where a slim multi-hook rig helps cover the water effectively.
Each of the five size 14 sea hooks is dressed with fish skin, while beads add extra flash and contrast. In changing light, these materials give off a lively shimmer that can help draw strikes from schooling herring.
With a rig length of 150 cm, the setup offers enough separation between hooks while still being manageable during casting, lowering, and retrieving. This makes it easier to fish vertically or with short lifts close to the shoal.
Because the rig comes pre-tied, you can attach it quickly and start fishing with minimal preparation. That is useful for anglers who want a straightforward sea rig that saves time on the bank or in the boat.
