Troutwerk Fluorocarbon - 30m Fluorocarbonschnur
incl. VAT, excl.
The Troutwerk Fluorocarbon is a dedicated leader material for spin fishing, combining near-invisible presentation with the knot strength and abrasion resistance needed when targeting sea trout, rainbow trout, and other predators in clear water.
Fluorocarbon's refractive index is close to that of water, making this transparent 0.30 mm line significantly harder for fish to detect than standard monofilament. Whether you're casting hard baits or soft plastics in gin-clear rivers, lakes, or coastal shallows, keeping the leader out of the fish's focus gives you a real edge on pressured waters.
With a breaking strain of 6.30 kg and high abrasion resistance, the 0.30 mm diameter handles contact with rocks, gravel, and structure without sacrificing knot integrity. It ties cleanly to braid via an FG or Albright knot and accepts snap swivels or clips without slipping — making rigging straightforward even in cold or wet conditions.
All variants are transparent, 30 m fluorocarbon leader spools with high abrasion resistance. Match diameter and breaking strain to your target species and conditions:
0.18 mm / 2.9 kg — ultralight spinning, small stream trout, heavily pressured clear water
0.20 mm / 3.8 kg — light spinning, small to medium trout, refined presentations
0.22 mm / 4.2 kg — all-round light-to-medium spinning, trout and small perch
0.25 mm / 5.10 kg — medium spinning, rainbow trout, sea trout in open water
0.28 mm / 5.9 kg — heavier spinning, larger sea trout, structured or rocky marks
0.30 mm / 6.30 kg — strong leader for sea trout and hard-fighting predators, abrasive or snaggy terrain
