Troutwerk Fluorocarbon - 30m Fluorocarbonschnur
incl. VAT, excl.
A reliable 30 m fluorocarbon (a line made from polyvinylidene fluoride that refracts light similarly to water) leader spool designed for spin fishing, offering low visibility and solid knot strength right out of the box.
Fluorocarbon's refractive index is close to that of water, making the transparent 0.18 mm diameter practically invisible to fish. This is especially valuable when targeting sea trout or rainbow trout in gin-clear streams and coastal shallows, where a visible leader can shut down bites entirely.
The line ties cleanly — connecting to braided mainline with an FG or Albright knot, or attaching snaps and swivels, is straightforward without stiffness issues. High abrasion resistance means it holds up against rocky substrates, gravel, and the occasional toothy predator, keeping your rig intact through multiple sessions.
All variants share the same transparent fluorocarbon construction on a 30 m spool. Pick by target species and lure size:
0.18 mm / 2.9 kg — finesse spin fishing for trout in clear, light-tackle conditions; ideal with small hard- and softbaits
0.20 mm / 3.8 kg — step up for slightly larger trout or mixed-species sessions with medium lures
0.22 mm / 4.2 kg — versatile all-round leader for trout and light predator fishing
0.25 mm / 5.10 kg — suited for larger sea trout or zander with medium-to-heavy lures
0.28 mm / 5.9 kg — heavier predator fishing, pike-adjacent species, or rough terrain
0.30 mm / 6.30 kg — maximum strength for demanding conditions or larger target species
