The Troutwerk Fluorocarbon is a reliable, purpose-built leader material for active spin fishing, offering high abrasion resistance and excellent knot strength in a fully transparent monofilament.
Fluorocarbon (a line material with a refractive index close to that of water) virtually disappears beneath the surface, reducing spook factor when presenting hard baits or soft baits in pressured or crystal-clear waters. Whether you're targeting sea trout in coastal shallows or rainbow trout in gin-clear streams, this transparent leader keeps your presentation natural.
The line ties cleanly and holds knots under load — an important quality when connecting to braided mainline or attaching a snap swivel. High abrasion resistance adds durability when the leader rubs against rocks, gravel, or submerged structure during the retrieve.
All variants share the same transparent fluorocarbon construction and are supplied on a 30 m spool. Match the diameter and breaking strain to your target species and conditions:
