The Salmo Hornet is a small, fast-running polycarbonate crankbait (wobbler) built to fool a wide range of predatory fish across rivers, streams, and stillwaters. Its pronounced, rod-tip-transmitted action and two razor-sharp VMC Black Nickel treble hooks make every retrieve count.
The Hornet is equally at home targeting pike, zander, perch, and trout. Its compact profile and lively action work upstream against the current — retrieved slowly to let the lure fight the flow — or downstream with the current, retrieved fast. Short pauses near suspected holding spots regularly trigger strikes. In stillwaters it can be cast or trolled; brief rod-tip accelerations during the troll add extra triggering impulse.
The polycarbonate diving bill and body deliver a tight, vibrating wobble that transmits clearly through the rod, giving you direct feedback on lure behaviour at all times. Paired with two VMC Black Nickel treble hooks, hook-up rates are reliable even with fast, aggressive takes. Light tackle, small snap swivels, and thin lines are recommended to let the lure run freely and maximise its action.
