With a stop knot placed above the antenna, the float locks at a set depth and pairs with a short trout leader. This configuration lets you reach far-bank areas and distant holding spots on trout lakes and ponds that shorter casts simply cannot reach.

Adapt to Depth with Sliding or Runner Rigs

As a sliding float (Gleitpose), a stop knot on the mainline and a small weight on the leader let the bait sink to the strike zone while still casting smoothly through the rings. In runner mode — the rig that gives this float its name — a leader of around 2 m with split shot carries the bait down through the water column, presenting it naturally at depth without additional hardware.
