STAINLESS STEEL 49-STRAND WIRE 5M 0.36MM 14KG/30LBS BROWN
incl. VAT, excl.
The Westin Stainless Steel 49-Strand Wire gives trace and rig builders a raw, uncoated wire that balances strength with genuine knottability — no crimps required if you prefer tying.
Woven from 49 individual strands in a 7×7 braid pattern, this high-carbon stainless steel wire is noticeably softer and more pliable than single-strand alternatives. It feeds smoothly through rings and tubes, crimps cleanly, and accepts standard knots without kinking — saving time at the vice or on the bank.
Stripping away the coating means nothing dampens the transmission of vibration along the wire. Subtle mouthing bites, nervous twitches on a deadbait — they all travel directly to your indicator or rod tip. The matte brown finish keeps the wire low-profile in clear or stained water without the added bulk of a plastic sleeve.
The 49-Strand Wire is available in five diameters to match your quarry and presentation. Select the lightest option that safely covers the breaking strain of the fish you are targeting.
0.27 mm / 6 kg — light pike traces, perch dropshot rigs, finesse predator setups in clear water
0.36 mm / 14 kg — versatile all-round pike wire; suits single-hook deadbait rigs, spinner traces and small lure rigs
0.45 mm / 17 kg — heavier pike and zander traces where larger baits or faster retrieves demand extra safety margin
0.54 mm / 24 kg — big-water pike, catfish bite traces, multi-hook snap-tackle rigs
0.63 mm / 34 kg — heavy catfish or trophy pike rigs; maximum abrasion resistance around sharp dentition
