The Westin Coated Stainless Steel 49-Strand Wire gives you the suppleness of a braid and the tooth-proof toughness of steel — all wrapped in an abrasion-resistant Co-Polyamide coating that keeps corrosion at bay session after session.
Forty-nine individual strands of high-carbon stainless steel are woven in a 7×7 configuration to produce a wire that bends, coils, and handles like a premium monofilament leader. It ties cleanly with standard knots and seats perfectly in crimping sleeves, so you can rig confidently on the bank or boat without needing specialist tools.
The matte-black Co-Polyamide sleeve does more than hide glare — it creates a barrier against saltwater, abrasive gravel, snags, and the general wear that degrades bare wire. The finish stays intact under repeated flexing, so the 5 m spool goes further and lasts longer than uncoated alternatives.
