The SG6 250 BC is a low-profile baitcasting reel for freshwater predator fishing with small and large lures, including hardbaits and softbaits. Its compact, ergonomic body and 192 g weight support comfortable handling, while the aluminium frame and side plates provide support when fighting fish. The 5P1BB designation corresponds to 5+1 steel ball bearings.
All four variants are size 250 and hold 180 m of 0.25 mm monofilament. Choose 6.6:1 for 70 cm of line retrieve per handle turn or 8.1:1 for 85 cm. At the same cranking speed, the 8.1:1 version retrieves more line and takes fewer turns to recover slack, while the 6.6:1 version retrieves less line per turn for a slower presentation. Both ratios are available as LH (left-hand retrieve) and RH (right-hand retrieve), so choose the side you prefer to crank with. Weight and line capacity do not change between these versions.
The size 250 uses an external centrifugal casting brake to control spool speed during the cast. A non-loss tension knob keeps the spool-tension control attached during adjustment. The soft-touch rubber handle knob provides a comfortable contact point when retrieving and fighting fish.
The frame and side plates have an EDP-painted finish. A separate stainless steel reel foot forms the rod-mounting connection, and the reel includes a brass worm shaft and DuraGrease lubrication. Line-ID lets you mark the line fitted to the reel, making it easier to distinguish loaded setups. The Dragclicker provides an audible indication when line is taken against the drag.
