The smaller lure is 9 cm and 13 g, while the larger is 12.5 cm and 19 g. Both have the same S-curve action, rattle and stated surface-to-1 m running depth. Choose the smaller or larger baitfish imitation and match its casting weight to your rod.
No, both sizes are sinking and have a stated running depth from the surface to 1 m. They are intended for saltwater sea trout spinning, so choose them for a shallow-running presentation rather than a lure that stays floating during pauses.
Twitching makes the built-in rattle chamber produce loud clicks. On the pause, the lure flutters and rolls backwards rather than simply losing its swimming movement. Twitches and pauses therefore add sound and a different movement to its slim S-curve retrieve.
The 9 cm version is specified with a #8 Y-treble. The 12.5 cm version includes a #5 Y-treble and a #3/0 wide-gape single hook. The belly mounting option lets you place the treble underneath the lure, while the larger version also gives you a supplied single-hook alternative.
No, each pack contains one lure in the chosen colour. All eight colours are available in both sizes, with Motor Oil UV and Blue Silver UV explicitly UV-labelled. Select the colour separately from the size, since colour does not change the stated weight or running depth.

The Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil is a sinking pencil hardbait for saltwater spinning for sea trout. Its long-cast design helps you cover water and reach fish farther out. Details based on a 3D scan of a real sandeel reproduce the baitfish it imitates.
The lure swims in a slim S-curve with its head slightly raised. When you stop retrieving, it flutters and rolls backwards, adding movement during the pause. Twitching activates a built-in rattle chamber that produces loud clicks, giving you an audible element alongside the swimming action. Both sizes have a stated running depth from the surface to 1 m and are sinking, not floating.
The 9 cm version weighs 13 g and offers a smaller, lighter presentation. The 12.5 cm version weighs 19 g and gives you a longer, heavier lure. Choose the size of the imitation you want and check that its weight suits your rod's casting range. Both share the long-cast design, S-curve action and rattle.
Each size is available in Black/Red, Brown Copper Red Dots, Matt White Tobis, Motor Oil UV, Blue Silver UV, Sandeel Ghost, Black Silver and Sandeel. Motor Oil UV and Blue Silver UV are explicitly UV-labelled finishes. Colour changes do not change the stated length, weight or running depth within a size.
The 9 cm lure is specified with a sharp Y-treble in size #8. The 12.5 cm version is supplied with a sharp Y-treble in size #5 and a wide-gape single hook in size #3/0, allowing a choice of hook setup. A belly mounting option allows the treble to be positioned underneath the lure. Each pack contains one lure in the selected colour, not a colour assortment.
Both sizes contain lead and are unscented.
