The Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil 12.5cm is a long-casting topwater lure modeled after a 3D scan of a real sandeel. Its slim S-curve action and built-in rattle chamber trigger hard strikes from sea trout and other coastal predators.
The aerodynamic profile and balanced 19 g weight allow exceptional casting distance, letting you cover more water and reach feeding zones beyond the range of standard surface lures. The built-in rattle chamber produces loud clicking sounds during twitching retrieves, attracting fish from a distance.
Swims with a tight S-curve motion, head slightly raised, mimicking a fleeing sandeel. On the pause, the lure flutters and rolls backward, often provoking aggressive strikes. The realistic 3D-scanned body details and natural swimming behavior make it convincing even to pressured fish.
The Sandeel Pencil is available in two sizes and multiple color patterns to match local baitfish and light conditions:
