Built from a 3D scan of a real sandeel, the Savage Gear Sandeel Pencil swims with a slim s-curve action and its head slightly raised, triggering hard strikes when you pause and let it flutter backwards. A built-in rattle chamber sends out loud clicks on every twitch, while the long-cast design lets you cover huge areas of water.

Every scale and contour comes from a high-resolution scan of a genuine sandeel, giving predators a silhouette they recognise instantly. The internal rattle chamber produces a sharp clicking sound that calls fish in from a distance and provokes reaction bites even when the water is murky or choppy.

Flexible rigging for changing conditions

The lure ships with both a super-sharp Y-treble hook (#8) and a wide-gape single hook, plus an extra belly eye so you can add the treble underneath when fish are striking short or you want a more aggressive hook-up ratio. Switch between single and treble configurations to match local regulations, target species behaviour, and your preferred landing technique.
