The Savage Gear 4Play V2 Liplure is a jointed hybrid lure for freshwater predator fishing, developed for casting and trolling for pike and also suitable for zander. Its four-part body has three joints and a semi-soft tail, producing an erratic, flashing S-curve action with added noise.
Fish it with a steady retrieve or short rod strokes. The articulated body produces side-to-side movement and flashing flanks, while the added noise provides another stimulus. The slow-floating design has little buoyancy, so it rises slowly during pauses rather than sinking. This makes it suitable for stop-and-go retrieves.
The shape is based on a 3D scan of a real herring. A hard ABS body gives the lure its swimming action, enhanced by the semi-soft PVC tail. Photo Chrome colours complement the flashing movement. The lure is unscented and contains lead.
