The PENN Tidal in metallic silver is built for lighter surf work where finesse matters. This 3-piece 4.2m rod pairs a slim 30T carbon blank with a SensiTip top section to telegraph even subtle bites from flatfish, school bass, or rays at distance.
Developed alongside surfcasting specialists across Europe, the blank delivers excellent casting performance while staying light in the hand at 510g. The fast action loads cleanly on the cast and recovers quickly, letting you punch 50–200g rigs well beyond the breakers from beaches or piers where heavy tackle isn't needed.
Zirconium K-Type guides are saltwater-proof and designed to shed tangles, even when casting into crosswinds. The low, compact frame minimises line slap and improves casting consistency. A durable shrink-wrap split grip and dedicated casting grip provide secure purchase during the swing, while the DPS reel seat locks your reel firmly in place.
