The 5.6:1 ratio retrieves 70cm of line per handle turn, ideal for slower, more controlled presentations. The 7.3:1 ratio covers 91cm per turn, better for faster retrieve speeds and covering more water. Both handle the same lure weights.
Choose the hand that matches your preference when cranking the handle. Most right-handed anglers choose right retrieve reels to cast with the left hand. Left retrieve is better if you already fish left-handed or prefer to keep your right hand free for rod handling.

The SG8 series combines power and precision in a compact, one-piece aluminium frame design perfect for casting medium to heavy artificial lures. These reels are built tough for pike, bass, zander and perch, with advanced features like DuraGrease and external centrifugal brakes that deliver smooth, reliable performance every time you cast.
All SG8 300 models feature a rigid, one-piece painted aluminium frame with separate stainless reel seat and side plates. The non-loss tension knob ensures consistent drag even under load, while 7+1 ball bearings (including two Japanese BB quality bearings) provide smooth rotation and durability. The brass worm shaft and DuraGrease lubrication system keep the reel running smoothly through extended fishing sessions.
Each reel is equipped with an external centrifugal brake system and audible drag clicker for intuitive cast control. These features work together to reduce backlash while maintaining the throwing distance needed for aggressive topwater and subsurface presentations.
