Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster
incl. VAT, excl.
The Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster (bottom taster) is a specialist running sinker designed for bottom rigs at trout ponds and trout lakes, combining a ball lead weight with a wooden stem for reliable, sensitive bite detection.
Once cast, the ball lead settles firmly on the lake or pond bed while the wooden stem stands upright in the water. This unique posture keeps buoyant or slow-sinking baits positioned naturally above the bottom, making it particularly effective when fishing with floating or rising baits where trout feed just above the substrate.
The metal eye at the top of the wooden stem allows the main line to run completely freely through it, functioning as a classic running sinker. When a trout takes the bait and pulls line from the reel, it feels virtually no resistance from the sinker — giving you clean, unmistakable bite indication without spooking wary fish.
All variants share the same wood-and-metal construction and are supplied as 1 piece. The variants differ by weight, which determines how well the sinker holds bottom in different conditions — lighter weights suit calm, shallow water while heavier weights anchor better in deeper spots or mild currents. Select your weight based on water depth, current, and casting distance.
