Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster
incl. VAT, excl.
The Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster (bottom taster) is a specialist running-sinker designed for trout pond and lake bottom rigs, letting fish take the bait without feeling resistance.
The sinker combines a small ball weight with a wooden stem and a metal eye. Once cast, the ball weight settles on the bottom while the wooden stem stands upright above it. This vertical position keeps your line running freely through the eye — the moment a trout picks up the bait and draws line from the spool, you feel it immediately with no added drag from the sinker.
Because the weight stays anchored on the bottom and the rig stands clear of debris, the Bodentaster pairs especially well with floating or slow-sinking baits — pellets, corn kernels, or pop-up style offerings — that drift naturally above the lake bed, right in the trout's feeding zone.
The Trout Attack Bodentaster is available in several weight options to match different water depths and casting distances. Lighter versions suit shallow ponds with close-range presentations; heavier versions carry further and hold bottom in deeper lakes or mild drift.
