The Balzer Plattfisch (flatfish) Perchman Rig is a ready-to-fish leader designed to present worms precisely where flatfish feed — right at or just above the seabed.

Adjustable Slider for Perfect Bait Presentation

The rig's sliding carriage lets you reposition the upper hook height without retying, so you can fine-tune presentation on the spot. Rig it with a whole worm on the upper hook and a worm section on the lower; one bait drifts enticingly just off the bottom while the other trawls along the seabed with its fringe trailing — a combination that triggers flatfish from both feeding layers.

Versatile Across Anchored and Drifting Boat Techniques

From an anchored boat, cast the rig out and retrieve it slowly with deliberate pauses to mimic a wounded bait.
