Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster
incl. VAT, excl.
The Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster (bottom taster) is a specialist running sinker designed for bottom rigs at trout ponds and trout lakes, combining a ball lead weight with a wooden stem for reliable bite detection.
A metal eye at the top of the wooden stem lets the main line slide through freely. When a trout takes the bait and pulls line from the spool, it feels no resistance from the sinker — giving you cleaner bite registration and fewer dropped takes.
Once cast, the ball lead settles on the lakebed while the wooden stem stands upright in the water. This upright position is especially effective with buoyant or slow-sinking baits, holding them at just the right height above the bottom to tempt wary trout in still-water ponds and lakes.
The Balzer Trout Attack Bodentaster is available in several weight options. Select the weight that matches your water depth, casting distance, and bait type:
Lighter weights — shallow ponds, shorter casts, or when minimal disturbance on the drop is needed
Heavier weights — deeper lakes, longer casts, or stronger surface drift requiring a firm anchor
