WFT Penzill Strong Fluorocarbon 100m - Vorfachschnur
The WFT Penzill Strong Fluorocarbon is a purpose-built spinning leader line that combines near-invisibility underwater with high abrasion resistance — ideal for targeting wary predators in clear water.
Fluorocarbon (a material with a refractive index close to water) practically disappears beneath the surface, making it especially effective in clear rivers and lakes where perch, zander, and trout are line-shy. It gives soft lures and hard baits a natural, unhindered action that pressured fish are far less likely to refuse.
The line is built for the demands of spinning and soft-lure fishing: high abrasion resistance protects against rocks, gravel, and underwater structures, while reliable knot strength means connections hold under pressure. A moderate stiffness reduces tangles on the cast and lowers the risk of snagging, yet the material remains supple enough to tie securely and allow small lures to move freely.
All variants come on a 100 m spool and are suitable for both saltwater and freshwater. Select the diameter that matches your target species and lure weight:
0.18 mm / 2.5 kg — ultralight spinning; small perch, trout, stream fishing with micro lures
0.2 mm / 3.1 kg — light spinning and soft-lure fishing; perch, trout, zander in clear or pressured water
0.25 mm / 5.9 kg — all-round spinning; mixed predator fishing, medium soft lures
0.28 mm / 6.6 kg — heavier soft-lure rigs; zander and pike-perch with larger shads
0.3 mm / 7.3 kg — stronger all-round leader; zander, pike-perch, rough-bottom venues
0.35 mm / 11.1 kg — heavy spinning and pike fishing; larger lures, structured or weedy water
