Designed for offshore deep-sea fishing, this WFT 68° North Comfort Butt LTC (Long Transport Compact) boat rod combines a slim but powerful carbon blank with an ergonomic butt system built for hard fights against cod, halibut, and other large sea fish.

Comfort Butt System for Long Drills

The removable Comfort Butt cap at the rod handle's base is the standout feature of this rod. The short distance between the reel seat and the cross-end allows anglers to comfortably brace the rod against their forearm during jigging or when fighting a heavy fish. When a big fish bites, the Comfort Butt can be removed in seconds and the cross-end inserted directly into a fighting belt for maximum leverage. A safety cord with carabiner prevents the cap from being lost or dropped overboard during a fast hookset.

Slim Carbon Blank with SIC Ring Guides

The thin but robust carbon fibre blank provides a strong backbone with enough power reserve to subdue even a large halibut. The long front EVA foam grip allows you to find your individual hand position easily, making both jigging and natural bait fishing more comfortable over long sessions. The SIC (Silicon Carbide) ring guides feature stainless steel frames, and their deep-set inserts offer excellent protection against impacts and drops — essential in rough offshore conditions.
