Choose the 16 cm, 56 g version for a smaller presentation at 1–3 m running depth. The 19 cm, 94 g version runs at 1–6 m and offers a larger, heavier lure for deeper edges and open-water pike fishing, including trolling.
No. The 16 cm Low Floating version briefly hangs in the water and then rises slowly, so pauses are part of its presentation. The 19 cm Sinking version sinks, so choose according to the behaviour you want during a pause as well as the stated running depth.
The 19 cm Sinking version is described for both spinning and trolling for large pike, with a running depth of 1–6 m. The 16 cm Low Floating version is described for active pike fishing at 1–3 m, so the 19 cm version is the explicitly supported trolling choice.
One lure in the chosen colour is supplied with carbon steel hooks. Hook sizes differ: size 4 on the 16 cm version and 1/0 on the 19 cm version. Select the size and colour together rather than expecting both models or a colour assortment.

Designed by Allan Christiansen, the Westin Platypus is a hard-bodied crankbait for targeting large pike. Its rolling action creates movement and sound, while an internal Ultra Sonic rattle ball adds an acoustic attraction. The family offers a smaller, low-floating version for shallower presentations and a larger sinking version for fishing deeper edges and open water.
The 16 cm, 56 g Low Floating version runs at 1–3 m. It pauses briefly in the water and then rises slowly when the retrieve stops, allowing a stop-and-go presentation. Its action works at very slow retrieve speeds in cold spring conditions as well as at higher speeds. The rolling body flashes its flanks, and its light-reflecting optic eyes use coloured, light-guiding glass fibres to create a reflective effect. The carbon steel hooks are size 4.
The 19 cm, 94 g Sinking version runs at 1–6 m. It is suited to spinning and trolling for pike, including medium-depth to deep edges and open water. Choose it for a larger, heavier presentation with greater running depth. It sinks rather than slowly rising at a pause, and has size 1/0 carbon steel hooks.
The lead-free ABS plastic body houses the rattle. A wire construction connects the attachment eyelet to the hooks, providing a continuous load path during a fight. The family uses sharp, strong Japanese-style carbon steel trebles. These features combine acoustic attraction with a secure connection between the line attachment and hooks.
Both sizes are offered in Parrot Special, Firetiger, Official Roach, 3D Amber Perch, Chartreuse Flow, Demon, Great Silver, Blank and 3D Motoroil Blood. The 19 cm version also offers Bling Perch, Headlight, Natural Pike and Stamped Roach. Colour is a separate choice from size, running depth and buoyancy. One lure in the selected colour is supplied.
