Westin recommends a steady or slightly erratic retrieve. The upward-facing paddle tail works at slow speeds and continues beating during the fall when you pause, so you can slow the retrieve or include pauses without stopping the tail action.
The 7 cm/4 g, 9 cm/8 g and 12 cm/19 g versions contain two lures per pack. The 15 cm/34 g and 18 cm/61 g versions contain one. The stated weight is per lure, so choose the desired prey profile and lure weight while accounting for the smaller pack quantity at 15 and 18 cm.
The supplier names perch, zander and pike for the 9 cm/8 g version, and zander among the uses for 12 cm/19 g. The 15 cm/34 g and 18 cm/61 g versions are highlighted for pike. The 7 cm/4 g version is described for active predator fishing, giving you the smallest profile in the family.
No. T Perch, T Gold Perch, Striking Perch, Real Perch and Motoroil Perch cover all five sizes. T Clear Perch is available at 7 and 15 cm, while T Yellow Perch and T Orange Perch are available at 7 cm. Choose a size first, then check its colour options, as the extra finishes do not cover the entire size range.

The Westin Original Perch is a soft paddle-tail lure for active predator fishing. Its small-perch profile imitates a prey fish, while the upward-facing paddle tail keeps working at slow retrieve speeds and during the fall when you pause. The family spans 7 to 18 cm, with size and colour options for different prey profiles.
Use a steady or slightly erratic retrieve, as described by Westin. The upward-turned tail provides lifelike movement without needing a fast retrieve. It also beats while the lure falls during a pause, so the tail remains active between retrieves.
External fins refine the fish-shaped body. The hand-painted finish, detailed eyes and colours reinforce the perch imitation. Westin developed this range in partnership with the creator of the Original Perch design, first created in 2015.
The five sizes change both the prey profile and the lure weight. Choose the size first, then the available colour.
Length | Weight per lure | Lures per pack | Supplier-supported use |
|---|---|---|---|
7 cm | 4 g | 2 | Active predator fishing |
9 cm | 8 g | 2 | Perch, zander and pike |
12 cm | 19 g | 2 | Predator fishing, including zander |
15 cm | 34 g | 1 | Predator spinning, especially pike |
18 cm | 61 g | 1 | Active pike fishing |
The 7 and 9 cm versions present the smaller, lighter profiles. The 12 cm version provides an intermediate size, while the 15 and 18 cm versions offer larger, heavier perch imitations for the supplier's pike-focused uses. Moving to those larger sizes also changes the pack from two lures to one.
T Perch, T Gold Perch, Striking Perch, Real Perch and Motoroil Perch are offered in all five sizes. The 7 cm selection also includes T Clear Perch, T Yellow Perch and T Orange Perch. T Clear Perch is also offered at 15 cm. Colour choices change the finish, while length, weight and pack quantity remain the same within each size.
