The Cross Over Cap™ is a custom silicone sock that slides over the shank of your primary hook (spinnerbait, buzzbait or chatterbait hook). It holds the trailer hook securely in place without the need for pliers, wire keepers or other tools, making rigging quick and easy on the water.
Size 1/0 and 2/0 work well for compact spinnerbaits and buzzbaits targeting perch and small pike. Size 3/0 is a versatile mid-range option, and 4/0 suits larger bladed jigs and spinnerbaits aimed at bigger pike. Match the trailer hook to the gap of your primary hook for the best fit.
Sizes 1/0 and 2/0 come with 6 hooks per pack. Sizes 3/0 and 4/0 come with 5 hooks per pack.
2X-strong means the hook wire is two gauges heavier than the standard wire for that hook size. This gives the hook extra strength to handle hard-fighting predators like pike without bending out.
The Black Nickel coating provides good corrosion resistance (rated 4 out of 5 by VMC). It is well suited for freshwater use. After each session, rinse the hooks with fresh water and store them dry to maximise their lifespan.
