The 7–23 g rod has Medium Light power and weighs 142 g. The 10–30 g rod has Medium power and weighs 145 g. Choose by lure weight, as both have two sections, 10 guides and a 143 cm transport length.
The 2.74 m 5–18 g rod covers the lightest lures and weighs 138 g. The 3.05 m 12–35 g rod covers the highest lure weights and weighs 166 g, so its extra length comes with more rod weight and a longer packed size.
Each two-section rod includes a Competition Ready-to-fish neoprene rod bag. Allow 141 cm for the 2.74 m version, 143 cm for either 2.79 m version or 156 cm for the 3.05 m version when planning transport.

The Salmonoid SG8 spinning rods are designed for coastal and river fishing with light to medium lures. Their Moderate Fast action supports long casts and cushions fish during the fight to help reduce hook pulls.
Japanese 46T Torayca carbon blanks with 4X Wrap V2 provide a lightweight, crisp response. The specified blank material is 46T Toray + Nano400 T1100G. Reset Accellerator Technology promotes very fast blank recovery after casting, supporting controlled lure presentation. Fuji SiC Titanium guides, a Fuji reel seat and premium cork handles combine durable fittings with comfortable handling during repeated casting. All versions have a Black/Silver finish.
The 2.74 m version is rated for 5–18 g, has Medium Light power and weighs 138 g. It offers the lowest lure-weight range and shortest length in this family. The 2.79 m 7–23 g version retains Medium Light power and weighs 142 g, extending the upper lure rating with little extra rod weight.
At the same 2.79 m length, the 10–30 g version has Medium power and weighs 145 g. Choose it when your lures fall within that higher range rather than the lighter versions' ratings. The 3.05 m 12–35 g version also has Medium power and offers the longest rod and highest lure rating, at a higher weight of 166 g. It has 11 guides including the tip, compared with 10 on the other versions.
