Both lengths are two-piece. The 2.21 m rods pack to 116 cm, while the 2.59 m rods pack to 135 cm. A Competition Ready-To-Fish rod bag is included, so choose the length that fits your available storage space.
The 2.59 m 150–300 g version has the highest casting range and Extra Extra Heavy power. It weighs 300 g, so it accepts heavier swimbaits than the other versions at a higher rod weight.

The ALPHA SG2 Monster family comprises two-piece casting rods for freshwater pike fishing with large swimbaits and baitcasting reels. The reinforced, progressive 24+30T high-modulus carbon blank provides the backbone for working heavy lures and setting hooks against strong fish. The model-specific action rating is Moderate Fast.
The 2.21 m versions offer a shorter rod and a 116 cm transport length. Choose 35–100 g (Heavy, 206 g) for the lowest lure-weight range in the family, or 60–130 g (Extra Heavy, 229 g) for heavier swimbaits. Both have nine guides including the tip.
The 2.59 m versions provide more rod length but need 135 cm for transport and have ten guides including the tip. Choose 50–110 g (Extra Heavy, 239 g), 70–150 g (Extra Heavy, 277 g), 110–220 g (Extra Heavy, 295 g), or 150–300 g (Extra Extra Heavy, 300 g) according to your lure weight. The higher-rated versions accept heavier lures but also weigh more. Match the lure to the individual casting range rather than treating every Monster as interchangeable.
All versions have a full Duragrip 70 handle and a Double Lock reel seat to secure the baitcasting reel during casting and fighting fish. SeaGuide CCS stainless steel guides with SiN rings guide the line along the blank. The rods are black.
Each rod separates into two sections and comes with a Competition Ready-To-Fish rod bag. Check the 116 cm or 135 cm transport length against your storage space before choosing a version.
