RPR05 is 5 cm long and weighs 9 g, while RPR07 is 7 cm long and weighs 24 g. Both sink and vibrate strongly. Choose by the body size you want and the lure weight your tackle supports, rather than expecting a different basic action.
It is intended for perch, zander and pike. Wind it in steadily or use sharp jigging lifts followed by a fall. The strong body vibration and loud BB rattle work with either approach, so you can change presentation without changing the lure.
No. It sinks and has variable running depth, with the back ahead of the attachment eye acting as the diving surface instead of a lip. It can therefore be worked at different depths, but no numerical running-depth range is supplied for choosing an exact depth rating.
No. CBG, CH, CHB, FT, HSD, PEL, ROL, RCW and YP are offered in both sizes. Halloween (HLW) is listed for RPR07, while DRTB, FNTC, OLM, PNKD, SLVT and THDB are listed for RPR05 only. Check the size and colour combination before selecting your variant.
VMC Black Nickel Round Bend hooks are supplied. Where sizes are specified, RPR05 has #8 and #10 and RPR07 has #4 and #6. Use pliers for safe handling, check for damage before fishing, and store the lure in a separate, closed, dry tackle box to prevent tangles and limit corrosion.

The Rapala Rippin' Rap is a sinking lipless crankbait for lure fishing for perch, zander and pike at variable depths. Its tall, narrow body vibrates strongly when pulled through the water, while the loud BB rattle system adds sound and vibration. It is designed for long casts, steady retrieves and sharp lifts followed by a fall.
You can wind the lure in or rip it with hard jigging movements, then let it sink again. This gives you a choice between a continuous retrieve and a lift-and-drop presentation. There is no diving lip. Instead, the back ahead of the attachment eye provides the diving surface. Running depth is variable, so the lure is not restricted to one fixed depth. No numerical depth range is supplied.
RPR05 measures 5 cm and weighs 9 g. RPR07 measures 7 cm and weighs 24 g. Choose RPR05 for the smaller, lighter presentation or RPR07 for a larger body and heavier casting weight. Both use the same sinking, vibrating concept, so size and weight are the main differences to match to your tackle and intended presentation.
Both sizes are offered in CBG, CH, CHB, FT, HSD, PEL, ROL, RCW and YP. Supplier-named finishes include Chrome Bluegill, Chrome, Chrome Blue, Firetiger, Helsinki Shad, Live Perch, Live Roach and Yellow Perch. RPR07 also includes Halloween (HLW). RPR05 additionally includes DRTB, FNTC, OLM, PNKD, SLVT and THDB, for which the supplied evidence gives colour codes only. Choose the finish separately from the size and weight.
The narrow, high-backed body has a realistic textured scale surface. VMC Black Nickel Round Bend hooks are supplied. Where hook sizes are listed, RPR05 uses #8 and #10 with 8651 BN and 4651 BN hook models, while RPR07 uses #4 and #6 with 4551 BN. Hook sizes are not specified for the six additional RPR05 colour codes. Check the individual variant's specifications when hook size affects your choice.
Use only for fishing in permitted waters and follow local rules. Handle the sharp hooks with care and use pliers when fitting or removing the lure. Inspect the body, hooks and line connection before use, and do not fish with damaged parts. Replace defective parts with suitable replacements and do not modify the lure. Store it in a separate, closed tackle box and keep the box dry to limit hook corrosion. Keep the casting area clear of people and animals. This is not a toy. Keep it away from unsupervised children and pets, and allow children to use lures only under direct adult supervision.
