The switchable automatic-trip system lets a fish take line before the front fighting drag is engaged. This supports bite-and-run bait fishing, while the oiled multi-disc felt drag controls line release during the fight. Maximum drag depends on the model, from 3 kg on the 630 to 11 kg on the 665.
The 630 is lightest at 232 g and holds 110 m of 0.30 mm line. The 640 holds 210 m of 0.30 mm at 283 g, and the 655 holds 380 m of 0.30 mm at 403 g. The 665 holds 390 m of 0.35 mm at 586 g. Choose by your required line diameter and length, then allow for the greater weight of the higher-capacity models.
The LBXT-665 retrieves 91.4 cm per handle turn, compared with 76.2 cm on the 655, 73.7 cm on the 640 and 63.5 cm on the 630. Compare these retrieve figures rather than gear ratio alone when line pickup is your priority. The 665 also has the highest weight, at 586 g.
Each reel includes a graphite spare spool alongside its machined, anodized aluminium main spool, so you can prepare a second line. Replacement spool codes are model-specific: LBXT-630-SPOOL, LBXT-640-SPOOL, LBXT-655-SPOOL and LBXT-665-SPOOL. Match the code to your reel rather than assuming spools interchange between sizes.
All four models use an LCS line-control spool for improved casting and a metal line clip for clipping the line at a chosen distance. These are shared features, so choose between models by line capacity, weight, drag and retrieve rather than expecting a different casting-control system.

The Okuma Longbow XT Baitfeeder is a front-drag fixed-spool reel for carp and other bait fishing. Its switchable, automatic-trip bait feeding system lets a fish take line before you engage the fighting drag. Four models offer different line capacities, drag limits and retrieve rates, so you can match the reel to your line and setup.
The 5+1 bearing drive supports smooth winding, with a precision elliptical gearing system and multi-stop anti-reverse. RESII (Rotor Equalizing System) uses a computer-balanced rotor to balance rotation during retrieval. The LCS (Line Control Spool) design helps line leave the spool for improved casting, while the metal line clip provides a point for clipping the line when controlling casting distance.
An oiled, multi-disc felt front drag controls line release while playing a fish. The corrosion-resistant graphite body, graphite sideplates and rotor are paired with a machined, anodized aluminium spool and an aluminium bail arm. A spare graphite spool is included, allowing you to prepare an alternative line without emptying the main spool. Match replacement spools to the model, using codes LBXT-630-SPOOL, LBXT-640-SPOOL, LBXT-655-SPOOL or LBXT-665-SPOOL.
LBXT-630 is the lightest model at 232 g, with a 5.0:1 ratio, 63.5 cm retrieve per turn and 3 kg maximum drag. Its capacities are 240 m of 0.20 mm, 155 m of 0.25 mm or 110 m of 0.30 mm line. It favours a lighter setup where the higher capacities and drag limits of the larger models are not needed.
LBXT-640 weighs 283 g and retains the 5.0:1 ratio, with 73.7 cm retrieve per turn and 6 kg maximum drag. It holds 300 m of 0.25 mm, 210 m of 0.30 mm or 155 m of 0.35 mm line, offering more line capacity and drag than the 630 for an extra 51 g.
LBXT-655 weighs 403 g, with a 4.5:1 ratio, 76.2 cm retrieve per turn and 9 kg maximum drag. It holds 380 m of 0.30 mm, 280 m of 0.35 mm or 215 m of 0.40 mm line. This is a carp-fishing option when you need more capacity for thicker line than the 640, accepting the extra weight.
LBXT-665 offers the greatest capacity and highest drag limit in the family, at 586 g, 4.8:1, 91.4 cm retrieve per turn and 11 kg maximum drag. Capacities are 390 m of 0.35 mm, 300 m of 0.40 mm or 185 m of 0.50 mm line. Choose it for carp setups needing the most line capacity and faster line pickup, with more weight than the other models.
Check the reel, drag, handle, spool and line guide before use, and secure the reel firmly to a compatible rod. Clean it regularly with a soft cloth and follow the manufacturer's lubrication instructions. Store it dry and keep fingers, hair and clothing clear of moving parts. Corrosion-resistant components do not establish a saltwater rating.
