The Okuma Helios series is built for anglers who want a light reel with a rigid carbon-based body, smooth gearing and corrosion-resistant components. Across the range, the reels cover finesse perch and trout fishing through to larger pike, zander and coastal sea trout applications.
The frame, sideplates and rotor use C-40X material to keep weight low without giving up stability. TCA (Torsion Control Armor) helps reduce twisting under load, which supports a more direct feel when working lures.
All models use 8HPB + 1RB stainless steel bearings, a precision-cut brass pinion and Okuma's Precision Elliptical Gearing system. The range includes standard-speed options plus the HSX-40S high-speed version for anglers who want faster line pickup.
The Cyclonic Flow Rotor is designed to support corrosion resistance, and the reels also feature a solid aluminium bail wire, metal line clip and corrosion-resistant components. That makes the series suitable not only for freshwater spinning, but also for occasional coastal use where a light but robust reel is needed.
The 20 size is the lightest choice for perch and trout. The 30 size gives a balanced all-round option for zander, perch and trout. The 40 size adds more line pickup and capacity for larger lures and stronger fish, while the 40S HS model is the fastest version in the range for active lure work and coastal sea trout fishing.
