For general pike and zander work, 0.19–0.29mm offers a good balance of casting distance, sensitivity, and strength. Use 0.23mm (23.6kg) as a comfortable all-rounder. Step up to 0.33mm or 0.39mm for trophy hunting in dense weeds; step down to 0.12–0.19mm in clear water for stealth.
