The Balzer Seewolf Knaller is a purpose-built saltwater jig designed to be fished heavier than its weight class suggests — thumping the bottom to trigger reaction strikes from catfish (wolffish) and other bottom-dwelling species.
Wolffish and similar species respond strongly to vibration and knocking sounds on the seabed. The Seewolf Knaller is intentionally fished oversized in terms of weight so it maintains firm contact with the bottom, producing the distinctive tapping action that draws fish in from a distance.
