The Balzer Seewolf Knaller is a purpose-built saltwater lure designed to be fished over-weight, letting you bounce it firmly along the seabed — exactly the knocking action that draws wolffish (Anarhichas lupus) out of rocky structure.
Wolffish are ambush predators that respond strongly to vibration and sound near the seabed. The Knaller is intentionally used with a heavier-than-typical lead to maintain consistent bottom contact and produce the tapping noise that provokes reaction strikes from fish holding tight to rocks and reefs.
With two hooks rigged on a single lure, a missed bite or crab-damaged hook doesn't end your drift. The second hook gives you a reliable backup, reducing lost opportunities on hard-fighting wolffish that can be tricky to hook cleanly on the first attempt.
